Obituary of Tressa Gilmore

The passing of Tressa Elaine Gilmore of Astle, NB, wife of Brian Gilmore occurred on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 31, 1950 in Astle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Berton and Tressa (Hunter) Woodcock. Tressa was a Homecare worker and enjoyed craftwork, gardening and making flower arrangements. In addition to her husband, Tressa is survived by her children, Bonnie Wettlaufer of Bonnyville, AB, Allison Derrah (Craig) of Astle, NB, Brent Gilmore (Vicki Stanley) of Bonnyville, AB; grandchildren, Dalton, Brian, Nathan, Tyson, Jarred, Brianna, Caleb, Tressa, Kaylee and Mylie; sisters, Charlotte Sommerville (Bill) of Durham Bridge, NB, Sadie MacLean (Ross) of Taymouth, NB, Gertrude Sommerville (Glen) of Taymouth, NB; brother, Harlan Woodcock of Astle, NB; special sister-in-law, Sharon Woodcock of Fredericton, NB; numerous nieces and nephews and many close family, friends and in-laws. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Phyllis Turnbull, Marney Green, Pearl Woodcock; brothers, John, Jerry, Lloyd, Arthur, Bonnie and Irvine Woodcock. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will take place at the Gateway of Hope, Boiestown, NB on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 2 pm with Rev. John Woodcock officiating. Interment will take place at the Astle Community Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
