Obituary of James Storey
The passing of James “Jim” Richard Storey of Fredericton, NB, husband of Althea Storey occurred on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Hospice House. Born on November 13, 1941 in Storeytown, NB, he was the son of the late Lester and Adeline (Comeau) Storey. He was a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for Atmus Equipment; he also worked for Case Equipment and United Rentals. Jim was a member of the Phantom Horsemen Motorcycle Club; he also enjoyed bowling, liked to hunt and loved spending time at Grand Lake.
In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his daughters, Beryl Finnamore (Leslie) and Sherry Claybourn (Mark Bonnell) both of Fredericton, NB; son, Richard Storey (Joanne) of Royal Road, NB; five grandchildren, Alecia Storey, Tyler Downing, Tabatha McCrea (Brandon), Randy Storey and Kayla Storey; sisters, Beatrice Dobson (Richard) of Storeytown, NB, Grace Arbeau (Blair) of Upper Blackville, NB and Phyllis Pottruff (Bill) of Thunder Bay, ON; brother, Norman Storey (Vera) of Storeytown, NB; several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Geraldine Storey and brothers, Arthur, Eldon and Paul.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.
