Obituary of Sylvia Cail

It is with great sadness that the family of Sylvia Patricia Cail (Amos), wife of Floyd Cail, announces her passing on October 24, 2018 under the exemplary loving care of Mountainside Lodge, Island View, NB where she spent her last two years. She was the daughter of Evelyn & Dwight Carroll, born on March 19, 1940 in Amostown, NB. She was a graduate of Doaktown Consolidated High School and went on to Business College to study accounting. During her career she was employed by CW Ritchie & Sons, Samson Equipment, Simpson Construction and retired from Auto Machinery in 2003. She loved being with family and travelling across Canada with Floyd. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, and their children, Dale (Lori), Krista (Stephen), Robert, Kathy (Jean Guy), Wendy (Louise) and Barb; grandchildren, Nick (Lindsay), Matthew (Cassaundra), Ashlee, Kasey (Tim), Marissa (Kevin), Mitchell (Kieri), Hailee (Alysha); great-grandchildren, Theodore, Owen and Charlotte; siblings, Beatrice (Ron), Wayne (Shirley), Lynn (Gilbert), Joy (Charles), Ricky (Barb), Gloria (Gerry), Terry (Marina) and Patrick; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elmer (Emily), Marg (Gordon), Iris (Dennis), Marge; uncle, Leslie (Eileen); several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents, Holmes McCormack; brother, Bill; sister, Bonnie; aunts, Leola (Moore), Jean (Harry), Grace (Arnold); uncles, Cecil (Annie), Lyman (Mary), Carl and Willard; brothers-in-law, Orley and Robert. A very special Thank You to the wonderful staff at Mountainside Lodge for their excellent care and compassion. Visitation will be at Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 3-6 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Carroll’s Crossing Baptist Church on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
