Obituary of Marion Hashey

It’s with great sadness that the family of Marion Elizabeth (Harding) Hashey announces her sudden passing, with her husband by her side on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Marion was born on October 4, 1960 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of Robert Harding and the late Betty (Saunders) Harding. Marion is fondly remembered and will be deeply missed by her husband and soul mate, Richard Hashey; her children, Brian Taylor, Beth Taylor and Matthew Taylor; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Gwyneth; father, Robert Harding; sisters, Katherine Harding and Donna Noakes (Dean); brother, Paul Harding (Alice); her sister in law, Betty Ann Feron (Ace); as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, Marion was predeceased by her infant grandson Job. Marion had a kind and gentle spirit and was loved by her many co-workers and staff of Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, where she worked tirelessly as manager of the coffee shop, making sure everyone got their favourite treat. She looked forward to the summer weekends at her trailer in Coles Island, a place of retreat for her and Richard. Visitation will take place at the York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 5-7 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at Greenwood Drive Baptist Church on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 1 pm with Rev. Gordon Cook and Pastor Dean Noakes (brother in law) officiating. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
