Obituary of Kimberly Thorne

Thorne, Kimberly Dawn The passing of Kimberly Dawn Thorne, of Maugerville, NB, partner of Jim Rumble, occurred on October 15, 2018 at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, NS. Born on February 2, 1963 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Maisie (Peterson) Fairley. Kimberly worked for G & R Paving and was a member of the Elks Club. Kimberly is survived by her daughter, Jolene Messer (Keith) of Fort McMurray, AB; sons, Andrew Thorne (Jessica) of Fredericton, NB and Scott Thorne of Maugerville, NB; step daughters, Hillary Rumble of Vancouver, BC and Carol Gray (Darren) of Edmonton, AB; step-son, Shane Rumble (Liz) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, Ryland, Emmett, Grace-Lynn and Abigail; sisters, Lisa Courtney (Tony) of White Court, AB, Stacey Fairley and Jennifer Fairley (Kevey) both of Fredericton, NB; brother, Mike Fairley (Patsy) of McGivney, NB and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Sherry Saunders. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11 am with Rev. Pat McAloon officiating. Interment will take place in the McGivney Community Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Rigbey and the nursing staff of Victoria General Hospital.
