Obituary of David Bailey

Life Legacy The passing of David William James Bailey of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Winna “Cheryl” (Lockhart) Bailey occurred on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 13, 1944 in Fredericton, NB he was the son of the late Douglas and Nellie (Smith) Bailey. Having been retired from the Department of Transportation several years ago, his love for the bag pipes continued, playing for the Halifax International Tattoo for several years as well as other tattoos and events around the world. He belonged to several Pipes and Drum organizations such as the Black Watch. He was a proud member of the Boy Scouts, and enjoyed the Air Cadets as a youngster. Other hobbies included woodworking and collecting model trains. David is survived by his daughter, Tara Cliff (Gordon) of Halifax, NS and son Todd Bailey (Melissa) of Kenilworth,UK; grandchildren, Sterling and Jeremy Cliff, Abigail and Grayson Bailey, as well as devoted friend Terry Russel, and loyal companion Cooper; several nieces and nephews. There will be a Private Interment at Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the New Brunswick Lung Association.
