Obituary of Arnold McLean

The passing of Arnold Richard McLean of Fredericton, NB, husband of Lois (Dunlap) McLean occurred on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 20, 1942 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Burns and Sadie (Luke) McLean. He was a chef at St. Thomas and Cosmo. Arnold loved to travel and see the country. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4, Fredericton. In addition to his wife, Arnold is survived by his daughter, Janine Pope (Michael) of Victoria, BC; son, James McLean of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Maddison and Isaac Bridgeo-McLean and Charlotte Pope; sisters, Joan Henderson (Bill Russell) and Judy McLean both of Lincoln, NB; brothers, Rolly McLean (Darlie) of Harvey, NB, Laurie McLean (Sally) of Brockway, NB and Steven McLean of New Maryland, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Faye McLean and son, Joseph McLean. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 3 pm with Major Reneé Dearing officiating. Interment will take place in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.
