Obituary of Darlene Morehouse

The passing of Darlene Bernice Morehouse wife of the late Vernon Morehouse of Burtts Corner, NB occurred on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Fredericton Hospice. Born on May 4, 1933 in Zealand, NB she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Eva (Shephard) Brewer. She was a member of Burtts Corner Baptist Church; Robins Seniors Group; Young at Heart Seniors Group; Past President and Member of the Women’s Missionary Group, and a Dominion Life Member. Darlene enjoyed cross country skiing, knitting and crocheting. Darlene is survived by her daughter, Shirley McPhee (Allen) of Upper Keswick, NB; sons, Allan Morehouse (Carla) and Dwight Morehouse (Susan) both of Burtts Corner, NB; daughter in law, Sylvia Morehouse of Harvey, NB; grandchildren, Lynn (Shane), Terry (Catharina), Shawn (Jennifer), Erika (Steve), Vanessa (Tim), Aaron (Jessica), Natasha (Steven), Tiffany (Ken), Jonathan (Katherine) and Joshua; fifteen great grandchildren; sisters, Maureen Estey (Eugene), Coleen Tranquilla, Chloe Morehouse and Heather Betts (Harold); brother, Ernest Brewer Jr.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased in death by her son, Stephen Morehouse; daughter in law, Gail Morehouse; great grandchild, Saphira; sister, Pearl MacQueen; brothers, Arnold and Ewart Brewer. Visitation will take place at Burtts Corner Baptist Church on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 7-9 pm and on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 2-3 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 3 pm with Pastor Stephen Hoyt officiating. Interment will take place in Burtts Corner Community Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Fredericton Hospice or the Burtts Corner Baptist Church.
