Donald, William & Families:
So sorry to hear of Cousin Jean's passing. I just spoke to her in May 2018 telling her I was off to the UK and Northern Europe visiting our WW1 relatives graves and visiting where our ancestry came from. We had a nice chat and she brought me up to date on Uncle Rob & Aunt Hattie's families. My family enjoyed their visits to Moncton and Point Claire. The door was always open for family and friends. Great memories had by all. Thinking of you at this time. Shirley, 3rd cousin

Jean and I go back many years and as my son Peter stated our families spent many happy summers together at our cottage. Jean was a confident, a crib and scrabble partner, a great second mother to my kids, but most of all a cherished friend. I was happy to see her getting so comfortably settled at the Shannex in Fredericton and social butterfly that she was, she fit right in. I also admired how Jean always did her best to look great, would get dressed up with make-up and jewelry for just about any occasion. And she did look great, even at 90. She always used to say that her secret to not looking her age and hiding wrinkles was to keep the weight on. She was always upbeat and supportive. I will miss my dear friend terribly.

Jean was huge in my life as was the entire Dickison family. My parents and Jean and Bill went way back to med school days and our combined families spent countless summers together at our cottage at Woodman's Point NB. (imagine 6 boys in a tent trailer and you get an idea of what a challenge we must have been for Jean and my parents) Jean was a second mother to me and she was always upbeat and downright funny sometimes. She had a sparkle in her eye that gave away the "little girl" in her that she had right to the end. I didn't see her often over the past years but her impact on my early life never lessened and I will miss her terribly. Rest in peace Jean.
Love
Peter

I am so sorry about Jean. Many many years ago she worked with my father, Bob Ogilvie. He always loved seeing her when she came to visit afterwards. I remember when he died Jean drove over with brown bread and ham. I wish I had known she was at Shannex. I could have visited. My condolences to Jean's family
