Obituary of Ina MacFadzen

MACFADZEN, INA MARY The passing of Ina Mary MacFadzen of Fredericton, NB, wife of Ernest MacFadzen occurred on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at home. Born on July 31, 1934 in Oak Hill, NB, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Bessie (Chisholm) Flynn. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church. Ina was a member of the Nashwaaksis Y’s Menettes and volunteered at York Care Centre, the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital and Meals on Wheels. In addition to her husband, Ina is survived by her children, Judith, Richard, Mark (Pat) and Kevin, all in the Fredericton area, and Steven of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Lauren, Alexandra, Michelle, Tyler and Jessica; great grandchildren, Emily, Adelaide, Brett, Charly, Kade, Audrey, Wesley, Aspen, Mabel and Galen; sisters, Joyce Leger (Donald) and Sheila Bartlett (Jim) both of Fredericton, NB and Linda Fenwick (Jim) of Newmarket, ON; sisters-in-law, Ellie Flynn and Patsy Wood; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Terry; her grandson, Daniel and her brother, Rick Flynn. Ina will be missed by her many close friends. Ina will always be remembered as a strong woman who offered support, a helping hand and self-sacrifice. She set the example for others to follow. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, September 9, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church (Stone Church) on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating. Interment will take place in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the St. John the Evangelist Cemetery Fund.
