Obituary of Glynn Johnston

The passing of Glynn Raymond Johnston of New Bandon, NB, husband of Amanda (Miner) Johnston, occurred on Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 15, 1942 in Doaktown, NB he was the son of the late Earl and Jean (Ballard) Johnston. Glynn attended the Miramichi Valley Church and enjoyed doing small engine repair. In addition to his wife, Glynn is survived by his daughter, Angela Urquhart (Richard); chosen daughter, Joanie Long (Kenny); grandchildren, Melita Storey (John) and Brandon Urquhart (Laura); chosen grandchildren, Chloe, Marissa and Maisie; great grandchildren, Luke, Ryan and Ruthie; sisters, Dora Stewart, Joan Dunn (Warren), Judy Johnston, Essie Johnston and Ruth Johnston; brothers, Johnny (Penny), Willis and Milford Johnston; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Glynn was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Johnston; brother, Harold Johnston, and his cat, Smokey. Visitation will take place at the Miramichi Valley Church, New Bandon, NB on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the Miramichi Valley Church on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 2 pm with Rev. David Storey officiating. Interment will take place in the First Pentecostal Cemetery, Doaktown, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
