Obituary of John Foster

The passing of John “Jack” Edward Foster, of Fredericton, NB, husband of Janine (McGloin) Foster, occurred on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 23, 1937 in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of the late Edward and Anne (Chambers) Foster. Jack was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church and of the Nashwaaksis Lions Club. Besides his wife, Jack is survived by his son, James Foster of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Tina Kennedy (Jason), Erika Foster (Shawn Kirby) and Leanne Souhair (Rachid); great grandchildren, Jayden, Kayle, Nevaeh, Ruby, Hamza and Yesmin; sister, Mary Foster of Fredericton, NB; sisters-in-law, Patricia Fradsham, Zale Bethune (Arthur), Jocelyn Downie (David), Sherry Savage, Kimberley Hartlen (Ron) and Terry Jenkins (Troy); brother-in-law, Brian McGloin (Wendy). In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Walter Foster. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 7 pm with Father Monte Peters officiating. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Oromocto Training and Employment Centre.
