Obituary of Faye Calhoun

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Faye Louise (Hunter) Calhoun announce her passing on August 9, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, in Fredericton, NB. She was a devoted mother of four children and a loving wife to her husband of 61 years, Arden Calhoun. She was born on January 20, 1938 in Avery’s Portage, NB and lived a life filled with love surrounded by her family, extended family and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Cora Beatrice (Palmer) and James Hilton Hunter, her cherished son Joey, her grandson Lucas, sister Floris (Hunter) Gibson, aunt (sister) Mavis (Palmer) Dobson, and her in-laws Merle (MacDonald) & Murray Calhoun. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Arden, her daughter Shelley Tattersall (Greg) of Mactaquac, NB, her son Jamie Calhoun (Gena) of Quispamsis, NB, her daughter Stephanie Calhoun (Chad) of Miramichi, NB, her grandchildren Christopher Tattersall (Amy), Lindsay Tattersall (Troy), Mitchell Calhoun, Bradley Calhoun, and her great granddaughter Emily Goodine, her sisters Hazel Inman (Paul), Barbara Fozard (Bert), and her brother Harding Hunter (Susan). Visitation will be taking place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Saturday, August 11th, 2018. For those who wish to join us in a celebration of her beautiful life, service will be taking place at Nashwaaksis United Church, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 2 pm, with Reverend Murray McFarlane officiating.
