Obituary of Alice Elizabeth Bilensky

The passing of Betty Bilensky, wife of the late Don Bilensky, occurred on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Born on Campobello Island, NB on August 24, 1927 she was the daughter of the late Mayford and Alberta (Corey) Anthony. Survived by her daughter, Karen Long (Danny); son, Brian Bilensky (Shelley); four grandchildren, Jeff Long (Katie), Greg Long (Linda), Chris Bilensky (Tamara) and Mitch Bilensky; two great grandchildren, Sophie and Walter Long; one brother, Ross Anthony (Jean); several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by brother, Burdell; sisters in law, Doreen Anthony, Eleanor Bilensky and Gloria Munn; brothers in law, Charles Bilensky and Fred Munn, and her grandson’s wife, Cassandra Long. Betty worked in the family owned business, Bilensky Insurance, until her retirement. She loved to bowl, travel, and spend time at the cottage with family and friends. Betty will be remembered as a wonderful caring woman with a beautiful smile. The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff of the Orchard View Long Term Care Facility in Gagetown for the excellent care provided to Betty during her many years as a resident living with Alzheimer’s. There will be no visitation. A Private Graveside Service will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Orchard View or the Alzheimer Society.
