Obituary of Stella Shields

The passing of Stella Laura Shields, formerly of Sussex, NB occurred on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born in Sussex, NB on April 18, 1939, she was the daughter of Robert and Florence (Kierstead) Shields. Stella spent much of her career as a clerk for the NB Department of Agriculture. Her main passion was her love of horses. Stella is survived by her brothers, Robert Shields (Pam) of Fredericton, NB and Gerald Shields (Cynthia) of Ottawa, ON; as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or service at Stella’s request. Interment will be in Kirk Hill Cemetery, Sussex, NB on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 1 pm.
