Obituary of Barbara MacPherson

The passing of Barbara Ann MacPherson of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late David MacPherson occurred on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 7, 1937 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Agnes (Flanagan) McLeod. Barb was a retired nurse with the Province of New Brunswick. She travelled often to Jamaica, and had a special place in her heart for the people of the Island. Barb had a special bond with those affected by the flood and had hoped to attend the Barker’s Point flood party this year in support of those impacted. Barb is survived by her sons, Chris MacPherson (Kim) and Mark MacPherson (Eva) all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Brittney (Anael), Mackenzie and Alexandra (Aiden); several nieces and nephews; special family and friends, Wanda and Greg Brown, Rhonda and Wyatt Dutcher, Evelyn and Gus Baron. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Frankie and Helen. The family will have a private service in memory of Barb. There will be a celebration of Barb’s life on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 7-9 pm at Picaroons Roundhouse, 912 Union Street, Fredericton, NB.
