Obituary of Ivy Clark
The passing of Ivy Ethel Clark, wife of the late Murray G. Clark of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Paradise Villa. Born on July 12, 1920 in Nottingham, England, she was a daughter of the late John and Ellen (Duffield) Kemp. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Ivy was a long time member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church ACW and Choir, the War Brides Association and the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #4, Fredericton. She loved music, dancing, carpet bowling, and played bridge for many years.
Ivy is survived by her son, Paul (Lori) Clark of Fredericton; her daughter, Janet (Danny) Parker of Fredericton; six grandchildren, Adam Clark (Tanya), David Clark, Lisa Cole (Neil), Katie Jackson (Chris), Ryan Parker and Troy Parker; three great grandchildren, Ivy Ronan-Clark, Eden Ronan-Clark and Oliver Jackson; her nieces, Sheila Kemp and Patricia Leaper of Nottingham, England. In addition to her parents and husband, Ivy was predeceased by her sisters, Maude Kemp and Gertrude Staples; brothers, John Kemp and Harold Kemp.
There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held from St. Mary's Anglican Church, McEvoy Street on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 2 pm with Rev. Canon Kevin Stockall officiating. Reception will follow in the Church Hall. Interment will take place at Sunny Bank Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the compassionate staff of Paradise Villa for their excellent care over the past two years.
