She taught music to many students both in the school system and privately up until the age of 84, it was Joy’s passion. Her retirement years were spent being deeply involved in her grandchildren’s lives attending multiple sporting events and celebrations. She was a life long learner, and travelled the world attending many master classes in music and participating in many Music Tours in Europe. She gained many friends by participating in a variety of musical activities throughout her life. Most recently she was involved in bible classes, Stepping Stones, two book clubs and Troubadours. She communicated quietly, never judged, loved deeply, valued friends and family above everything else.
