Obituary of Walter William Armstrong

The passing of Walter William “Bill” Armstrong of Fredericton, NB, husband of Sharon (Stafford) Armstrong occurred on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 8, 1942 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Walter and Jennie (Nason) Armstrong. He was a truck driver for York Steel. Bill enjoyed spending time with his friends at Tim Hortons, liked watching hockey and car racing. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Stairs (Greg) and son, Gary Armstrong (Heidi) both of Fredericton, NB; step children, Michael (JoAnn), Rick (Carol), Cheryl (Mike) and Peter (Angela); grandchildren, Kierra and Kaden; eleven step grandchildren; eleven step great grandchildren; sisters, Donna Stafford and Gloria Dean (Art) both of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his step granddaughter, Sarah. A Graveside Service will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday. May 16, 2018 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Fredericton SPCA, New Brunswick Lung Association or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
