Obituary of Richard McGivney

The passing of Richard “Rick” Lyle McGivney of Kingsley, NB occurred on Friday, May 11, 2018 at his home. Born on June 19, 1972 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Donald McGivney (Cindy) and Margaret Drost (Ghislain Dube). Rick’s biggest passion was fly fishing; he was also an avid Hockey fan especially of the Montreal Canadiens and enjoyed playing softball. In addition to his parents, Rick is survived by his brother, Tony; aunt, Irene Buckingham; cousins, Vincent, Jesse (Charito), and John; nieces, Kelsey and Megan Anne; nephew, Samuel. Rick was predeceased by his biological father, Richard Humble and infant brother, Robert. Visitation will take place on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 10 to 11 am at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel; the Memorial Service will immediately follow at 11 am with Pastor Steven Teed officiating. Interment will take place in Seymour Memorial Cemetery.
