Obituary of Carol MacDonald

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Marie (Sullivan) MacDonald, wife of the late Irving Andrew MacDonald of Fredericton, NB, on Friday, May 11, 2018 at York Care Centre in Fredericton. She was born on August 21, 1936 in Houlton, Maine. She was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Eva (Boreland) Sullivan, and step daughter to the late Winnifred (Carson) Sullivan of Fredericton. Carol was passionate about her family and her work as a retailer (retired) for Atlantic Superstore in Fredericton, NB. Carol is survived by her loving children, Paul MacDonald (Pam) and Sandra MacDonald (Donnie Chisholm) both of Fredericton, NB; two granddaughters, Jenna and Kira; three brothers, Fred Sullivan (Wendy) of Fredericton and Jimmy Sullivan (Barb) of Toronto and the late Robert Sullivan (Lorraine); one sister, the late Mary McLean (Sullivan); and her cherished nieces and nephews. Visitation, a celebration of Carol’s life will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Fredericton, NB, on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11am with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will be for immediate family at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
