Obituary of Cecil Whitlock
WHITLOCK, CECIL JUDSON
It is with heavy hearts the family of Cecil Judson Whitlock, loving husband to Margaret (Pike) Whitlock, announce his passing on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born on January 21, 1952, he was a son of the late Marjorie and Douglas Whitlock.
Cecil spent his career driving truck for Maritime Beverages, Northside Ready Mix and Taylor Petroleum. In his younger years he played hockey and softball, later he bowled and enjoyed playing cards and doing crosswords. Cecil thoroughly enjoyed watching his sons, Todd and Derek, play hockey and baseball over the years and all the friendships he made. Cecil was also a member of the Kinsmen.
In addition to his wife of 46 years, Margaret, left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Todd and Derek (Jessica Somerville); and his grandgirls, Awesome Alexa 9 and Dazzling Drew 7. Cecil loved giving Drew “Cici” pushes on the swing and helping Alexa with math and watching them both play soccer. Cecil looked forward to taking his dad for Sunday drives and the many trips he and Margaret took with Bill and Jean. Precious memories. Cecil is also survived by siblings, Gloria Woolaver, Barbara Miller (Ken), Bill Whitlock (Jean), Bob Whitlock (Simone), Linda Seeley (Dick), Judy Preston (Don); many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses in ER, CCU, 4SW and at Saint John Regional, along with first responders. They were all a wonderful support.
