Obituary of Myrna Richard

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Myrna Alice Richard announces her untimely passing on Friday, May 4th, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born on February 10, 1941 in Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Vina Mann. Myrna lived her life for her two children and her many close friends. Her love of her social circle including the lovely ladies of Beta Sigma Phi, Preceptor Iota (50 years) which were so very important to her. She truly cherished her friends and brought a smile to everyone around her with her incredible sense of humor. Myrna is survived by her son, Michael Robert Richard; daughter, Cathy Suzanne McLaughlin; along with her two grandsons, Matthew McLaughlin and Samuel McLaughlin; daughter-in-law, Diane Richard; and son-in-law, Peter McLaughlin; and finally her former husband and lifelong friend, Robert Richard. The family wishes to extend a sincere heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of 4SE and 4SW at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Their amazing care and compassion will not be forgotten. There will be no visitation by request. The Memorial Service will be celebrated at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, May 10th, 2018 at 7:00 pm with Rev. Ellen Beairsto. Interment will be at the Fredericton Rural Cemetery preceding the memorial service for the family.
