Obituary of Jean Poulin

Life Legacy The passing of Jean Roch Poulin of Fredericton, NB, husband of Georgina (Neilson) Poulin occurred on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Hospice House, Fredericton, NB. Born on March 28, 1930 in Ste. Martin, QC, he was the son of the late Alfred and Marguerite (Roy) Poulin. He was a self employed painter. Jean Roch enjoyed all types of gardening whether it was flowers or vegetables. He loved to participate in outdoor activities with family and friends; most notably creating a community skating rink for many years. A love of music brought Jean Roch together with his Georgina. In addition to his wife of over 60 years, Jean Roch is survived by his daughter, Lynn Monteiro; sons, Michael Poulin (Sandra) and Peter Poulin (Heather); grandchildren, Ryan Poulin, Megan Poulin, Scott and Lauren Poulin and Alicia Monteiro; great grandson, Jonathan; brothers, Michel Poulin (Germaine) and Gilles Poulin (Ginette); many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jacqueline and brothers, Viateur, Gabriel, Vincent and Gregoire. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 6-8 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 10 am. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date. A special thank you from the family goes to the staff of 4NW, 3E Palliative Care Unit and the wonderful team at Hospice House Fredericton for their care and compassion.
