Obituary of Susan Stewart-Modugno

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Sue Stewart-Modugno on Thursday, May 3, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Sue was born on November 22, 1956. She is survived by her husband and the love of her life, Emile Modugno; her loving and devoted sister, Karen Stewart-Williams (Brian); sister-in-laws, Jo-Anna Yvorchuk (Bill), Emily Moore (Phil) and Lisa Modugno-Moore. Sue worked for CIBC in Pointe Claire, QC for 15 years before moving to Fredericton after marrying her soul mate Emile in Hawaii in September 1989. In Fredericton Sue worked for Scotiabank for over 25 years where she formed many close friendships with both staff and customers. The numerous cards, flowers, emails and phone calls of good wishes from her customers and friends during her illness meant the world to her. There will be no visitation or funeral but Sue requested that if you ever shared a laugh with her to please raise a glass to her to celebrate her life. The family wishes to thank Dr. Anan, all the Doctors, nurses and staff in Oncology and Extra Mural for their kindness, compassion and excellent care. Also very special thanks to her “Angel” Dr. Deborah Gowan. Donations in Sue’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Fredericton.
