Obituary of Judith Hall

The passing of Judith “Judie” Dawn (Stairs) Hall, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Hospice Fredericton. Born on January 02, 1945 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Thelma (Kitchen) Stairs. Judie is survived by her daughter, Dawn Korzeniowski (Thomas) of Suffolk, VA; son, Gary Hall (Sara) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Amanda, Dominic and Lucas Hall, Jacob and Kyle Ericson; sister, Barbara Touchie (David) of Fredericton, NB; brothers, Joe Stairs (Linda) of Seattle, WS and Phillip Stairs (Reiko) of Los Angeles, CA; brother-cousin, Terry Hughes (Rose) of Lakeville Corner, NB; uncle Phillip Moore of Prince William, NB; Nephew Andrew Cline (Emma Stewart), and many cherished and close cousins in the U.S. and Canada. In addition to her parents, Judie was predeceased by her brother, Gary Stairs. Judie also leaves her loyal dog, Leah, who was her constant and much loved companion for the last number of years. Judie enjoyed a long and successful career with the Province of New Brunswick, keeping close so many friendships that were developed through her work over the years. Throughout her retirement, Judie was a Yoga instructor loving every minute spent with her “yoga girls” in class. She was an avid reader, enjoyed Facebook and watching TV. Judie was also an active member of the every-other-Thursday OBC’s Coffee Club. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 12-2 pm; followed by the Memorial Service at 2 pm with Rev. Greg Geldart officiating. Interment will take place in Prince William Cemetery at a later date. A Special thank you is offered to the staff of Hospice Fredericton for the extraordinary and loving care they provided to Judie and to her entire family during her time there.
