Obituary of Evelyn Munn

Munn, Evelyn Amy The passing of Evelyn Amy Munn, wife of Allen J. Munn occurred on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the York Care Center, Fredericton. Born on May 28, 1946 in Doaktown, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Marjorie (Beek) Carr. Evelyn was a member of TOPS and a past volunteer in the canteen at Harvey Camp. She loved people and to talk, her favourite “instrument” was the telephone. She had spent many summers at Princess Park at Grand Lake. Evelyn is survived by her son, Darren Munn (Stephanie) of Fredericton; sister, Elizabeth Stewart Halifax, NS; sister-in-law, Kim Carr Fredericton; grandchildren, Justin, Kenny and Megan; niece, Crystal and nephew Doug, Many brothers and sisters- in-law, nieces and nephews of the Munn family. Besides her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by her infant son Derrick Munn; and her brother Dail Carr. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, on Monday April 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon McLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday April 3, 2018 at 2 pm with Pastor Jack Leaman officiating and Rev. Russell Morehouse assisting. Interment will take place at the First Pentecostal Cemetery, Doaktown, NB at a later date. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of York Care Center for the exceptional Care they provided during Evelyn’s time there.
