Obituary of Elsie Doane

DOANE, Elsie Ruth Age 76, Reardon Road, White’s Cove, NB. The family of Elsie Doane is sad to announce her sudden passing at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, March 26, 2018. Born in Stanley, NB, Elsie was the daughter of the late Margaret and Gilbert Gibbons. Predeceased by her son, David Doane; and several siblings, she will be sadly missed by her husband, Edward Doane; daughter, Janet Scott (Paul), Mineville, NS; son, Timothy Doane (Wendy), Hammonds Plains, NS; Elsie had a kind heart, especially for her grandchildren – Adrianne Scott (Jamal), Nicolas Scott, Jesse Doane, and Jeremy Doane; and great-grandson Iziah. She will be missed by her surviving siblings as well. In her later years, she enjoyed evenings of playing dominoes with local friends and the eager anticipation of her next treat of lobster. Easing the grief of family and friends, is the knowledge that she is now with David, whom she has missed dearly for the past four years. Cremation has taken place under the care of York Funeral Home, Fredericton, NB. Internment will take place at the Jemseg Cemetery at a later date.
