Obituary of Barbara Carey

The passing of Barbara “Barb” Carey “formerly Dickeson” of Fredericton, NB occurred on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 19, 1944 in Bathurst, NB she was the daughter of the late Hazen and Martha (Black) Carey. Barb enjoyed gardening, animals and spending time with her family. Barb is survived by her sons, Ralph Dickeson (Emily) of Fredericton, NB, Stewart Dickeson (Megan) of Woodstock, NB and Monte Dickeson of Fredericton, NB; daughter, Tanya Dickeson – Lamon (Patrick) of Elizabethtown, ON; grandchildren, Erika, Sophia, Cooper, Maddison, William and Landyn; brothers, Donald Carey of Bathurst, NB, Kenneth Carey (Freda) of Bathurst, NB and Cecil Carey (Delcie) of Bathurst, NB; sisters, Sharon McMinn of Bathurst, NB and Annie Carey – Taylor of Oshawa, ON; along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Barb is predeceased by her sister-in-law, Edith; brother-in-law, Donald; and ex-husband William Isaac Dickeson. A Memorial Service will be held at Saint John the Evangelist Anglican Church (Stone Church), Main Street, Fredericton on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating. A reception will follow in the New Church Hall. Remembrances can be made to Fredericton SPCA, Anglican Church of Canada – Diocese of Fredericton or Chalmers Hospital Chapel Fund.
