Obituary of Henrietta Hood

The passing of Henrietta Edith (O’Donnell) Hood, wife of the late Lloyd Hood of Fredericton, NB occurred on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton. Born on October 1, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Johnson and Vina (Lyons) O’Donnell. Henrietta was a member of Capital Community Church. In her spare time she enjoyed playing skip-Bo. Henrietta is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Reid (Raymond) and Dianne Hine; sons, Robin (Katina), Mark Hood, Keith (Gail) and Douglas (Tina); grandchildren, Stephanie, Stephan, Jordan, Merle, Justin, Shannon, Brittany, Cody, Julia, Carey, Brandon, Bradley, Gavin and Devon; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Quinton, Ashley, Kiara, Hannah, Sienna, Paige, Julia, Kate, Jackson, Autumn, Aurora, Olivia, Chantal, Aiden and Owen; siblings, Richard O’Donnell, Frederick O’Donnell (Rose), Donald O’Donnell (Sheila) and Velma O’Donnell (Lawrence); along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Henrietta was predeceased by her son, Jeff Hood; sister, Christina O’Donnell and brothers, Cyril, Nathan, Jimmy and David. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Capital Community Church on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 2 pm with Rev. Raymond Woodward officiating. Pallbearers are Stephen Weaver, Merle Hood, Cody Ross, Brandon Reid, Devon Hood and Jordan Bradford. Honourary Pallbearers are Bradley Reid and Carey Hood. Interment will take place in Dayton Cemetery at a later date. Remembrances can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
