Obituary of Peter Colford

The passing of Peter Alexander Colford, husband of the late Grace (Veno) Colford, occurred on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 18, 1937, he was the son of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Brophy) Colford. Peter is survived by his daughters, Cindy Thurlow (Stephen), Wanda Moulaisson; son Dale Veno; grandchildren, Jessica and Jennifer Moulaisson, April Gorman (Mark); sister Jeannie Smith (Steve); brothers, Herb Colford (Diane), Danny Colford (Marina); sisters-in-law, Susan Colford, Leona Sutherland (Ben), Priscilla Veno, June Veno; brother-in-law, Bob Shanks. Besides his parents, Peter was predeceased by his sister, Debbie Shanks; brothers, Clarence, David and John Colford, and sister-in-law, Patsy Colford. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, March 19, 2018, from 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 11am with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date.
