Obituary of Jonathan Fullarton
Life Legacy
The passing of Jonathan Russell Fullarton of Fredericton, NB, husband of Angela (Cormier) Fullarton occurred on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Born on September 26, 1971 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Russell and Jean (Saunders) Fullarton. A graduate of UNB, Jonathan was a Civil Engineer, and worked for CBCL Limited for many years, most recently as the Manager of their Fredericton branch. His incredible talents and knowledge, paired with his familiar and friendly personality, earned him a great deal of respect in the engineering and construction community, both in the private and public sector, and on every level.
In addition to his parents, wife and a large extended family, Jonathan is survived by his beloved children, Zoe, Ava and Seth, all at home; sister, Paige Betts (Shawn) of Fredericton, NB; mother-in-law, Marie Cormier; brothers-in-law, Duke Cormier (Betsy) and Jason Cormier. Jonathan was special uncle to Cooper and Grady Betts; and to Cormier niece and nephews, Max, Josh, Hannah, Luca and Matteo. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Roderick Cormier. A broad circle of friends will forever remember Jonathan, or their "Russ".
Jonathan's time and energy were lovingly spent on his children and family. Having grown up playing hockey and baseball in Fredericton, a love for sport was passed on to his children. Jonathan will be remembered by many kids as 'Coach', having led many of his children's teams in baseball, basketball and hockey. He was so very proud of Zoe, Ava and Seth's pursuits in their many activities and successes at school. Jonathan will be remembered for his ready smile and friendly greetings, ever-present during his brisk walks and long runs around town. Jonathan loved a long drive, alone or with whoever would join him, around the province or further afield, having driven his family as far as Florida for holidays.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
