Obituary of Louise Kilbride

The passing of Louise Madeline Kilbride, wife of the late Cecil Kilbride, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on November 6, 1930 in Bible Hill, NS, she was a daughter of the late Colin and Jean (Kennedy) Milligan. She was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church and the ACW. Louise was involved through the church, providing meals for the Boys and Girls Club, she was also a member of the Nashwaaksis Senior’s Card Club, Johnson Avenue. Louise is survived by her children, Audrey Ramsay (Allan) of Summerside PE, Barb Murphy (George) of Ellerslie, PE, Michael Kilbride of Calgary, AB, Jackie Atkinson (Craig) of Edmonton, AB, John Kilbride (Carla) of McAdam, NB and Judy Kilbride of Fredericton, NB; son-in-law, Ray Wagstaff; special nephew, Elwyn MacKinnon; nine grandchidren, Laura, Colin, Melissa, Michael, Megan, Bradley, Michaela, Kate and Ross; seven great grandchildren; siblings, Emma Sonier of Summerside, PE, Leo Milligan (Vicki) of Belleville, ON and Delina MacLean (Douglas) of Cornwall, PE; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Louise is predeceased by her daughter, Joyce Wagstaff; sister, Grace Plaster; brothers, Victor and Stewart and brother-in-law, Edward Sonier. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, March 3, 2108 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from St. Mary’s Anglican Church, McEvoy Street, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 2 pm with Father Kevin Stockall officiating. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Anglican Church Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
