Obituary of Marjorie Jones

The passing of Marjorie Ellen (Rae) Jones of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Ernest Jones, occurred on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Windsor Court Retirement Residence. Born on April 1, 1933 in Dumfries, NB, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Annie (Biden) Rae. Marjorie was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church. Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Merriam and her husband, Leslie of Mactaquac, NB and Lisa Jones and her husband, Lloyd Rankin of Okotoks, AB; sons, Douglas Jones of Fredericton, NB and Garnet Jones and his wife, Jill of Okotoks, AB; grandchildren, Holly Hoyles and Jenny Cain and their mother, Shelley Jones; Colin Merriam, Ross Merriam, Brianne Janzen, Chris Bojarski, Adam Jones and Brett Jones; great grandchildren, Barrett Janzen, Callin Hoyles, Jaime Merriam, Evan Merriam, Shayanna Janzen, Cohen Hoyles, Hannah Cain, Isla Jones and Grayson Jones; several nieces and a nephew. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Bill and Allan Rae. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 2 pm with Canon Bill MacMullin officiating. Interment will take place in St. Clements Cemetery, Prince William, NB at a later date.
