Obituary of Paul Carson

The passing of Paul Chester Carson of Holtville, NB, husband of Lois (Phillips) Carson, occurred on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at home. Born on September 22, 1940 in Holtville, NB he was a son of the late Chapman and Viola (Price) Carson. Paul worked in the woods all of his life. He loved being in the woods, had a deep connection with nature and enjoyed living off the land. Paul was a supporter of the United Church. In addition to his wife of 42 years, Paul is survived by his daughter, Sarah Carson-Pond (Steven) of Boiestown, NB; son, Jonathan Carson (Rebecca) of Porter Cove, NB; grandchildren, Matthew and Leah Pond and their brother, Chris; sisters, Iva Carson and Janie Carson both of Fredericton, NB, Nora Astle (Reginald) of Astle, NB and Carla Larsen (Arnie) of Halifax, NS; brother, Donald Carson (Edna) of Holtville, NB; sister-in-law, Claudette Carson of Holtville, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Daniel Carson; brothers, Elva “Al” and Linwood “Nin” Carson and Ray Price. There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will take place from Miramichi Valley Chapel on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 2 pm with Pastor Brian Curtis officiating. Interment will take place in Cameron Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, random acts of kindness for family, neighbours, friends and beloved pets would be appreciated by the family.
