Obituary of Malcolm Brooker

With blessed assurance Malcolm “Mac” Reginald Brooker of Fredericton, NB, husband of Brenda (McElroy) Brooker went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 2, 1940 in Bath, NB, he was the son of the late Burl and Hazel (Copp) Brooker. He worked in Fisheries for the Dept. of Natural Resources. He was a member of Capital Community Church. Mac liked fishing, and loved to spend time with his granddaughter. In addition to his loving wife, Mac is survived by his son, Bradley Brooker (Carmel) of Fredericton, NB; granddaughter, Shawna Brooker; sister, Linda MacDonald (Fordy); sister in law, Anne Brooker; brother in law, Stephen McElroy; several nieces, nephews and his Texas family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Robert and Ronald Brooker and his father and mother in law, Rev. Arthur and Hannah McElroy. Visitation will take place at Capital Community Church on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 2 pm with Pastor Jack Leaman and Rev. Lester Mitchell officiating. Interment will take place in Cameron Hill Cemetery in the spring.
