Obituary of Sharon Billings

The passing of Sharon Louise Billings, of Burtts Corner, NB, wife of Conrad Billings, occurred on January 13, 2018 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 13, 1952 in Burtts Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Myrna (Brewer) Foster. Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Conrad; their daughter, Tasha (Jason) Clark of Fredericton, NB and their beloved dog, Trooper. She is also survived by her brothers, Dale Foster of Fredericton and Ed Foster (Peggy) of Victoria, BC; five sisters-in-law and their families; one aunt, Mae Burtt; special cousin, Sheila; several nieces, nephews and cousins; friends who were like family, Valerie, Linda and Cathy. Sharon graduated from Atlantic Business College and then went to work for the government for several years. After she had her daughter she became a stay-at-home mom. Once her daughter was older she stared working at Bird’s Corner store in Burtts Corner where she was a valued employee for over 20 years. She had recently began to cut back her hours to transition to preretirement. Her family was her main priority. She loved to read, complete crosswords, play guitar, sing and take photos. She was a talented knitter, sewer and bookkeeper. She was a long-time member of the Burtts Corner Christian Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher, church secretary and had recently been helping with the preschool children’s program. Visitation will take place at Burtts Corner Christian Church, Burtts Corner, NB on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 7 to 9 pm as well as on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the church from 12 until service time at 2 pm. Pastor Dan Foreman will officiate the service. Pallbearers are Paul Bragdon, Jonathan Bragdon, John Coburn, Troy Coburn, John Foss, Ricky Martin and Allan Pugh. Interment will take place in Burtts Corner Community Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Burtts Corner Christian Church, Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
