Obituary of Clifford Walton

Life Legacy It is with profound sadness that the family of Clifford John Walton announce his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 27, 2017. He was born in St. Bernard, NS on February 9, 1942. Clifford was predeceased by his parents, John and Lilly (Blinn) Walton. Clifford is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children, Michael Walton (Miluska), Chantille Whitehall (Ben), Kyle Dunphy (Shawna) and Shannon Dunphy (Trevor). He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla, Kristen, Brooklyn, Wyatt, Ryan, Dakota, Dominique, Torin, Aiden; great granddaughters, Elizabeth and Zoey; his sister, Jennie Rouleau (Peter) and niece, Michelle Kinsmen (Randy). Clifford was a career entrepreneur. He started his first business, Oromocto Sports and Equipment with partners Glen and Jerry. He eventually found a passion for the restaurant business and opened a Pizza Delight in Nashwaaksis with partner Fred. A few years later he opened a Decker Boy franchise in Devon which eventually he reopened as a full dine in family restaurant called Annie’s. After retiring from the restaurant business he found a new passion in building birdhouses from repurposed materials which grew into a partnership with neighbour Jim and they became regular’s at the Boyce Farmer’s market. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 2 pm with Father Monte Peters officiating. Interment will take place in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
