I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mrs. Ball was a huge influence in my life in grade 5 and then again in grade 9. She is the reason why I take my time with cursive writing and reread Charlotte's Web and the Secret Garden each year. I can still hear her read to us in grade 5. Please know you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.

I am sorry to learn that Helen has passed away. I met her st Retired Teachers' meetings, through my mother ,Thelma Jewett Kolding. Just as your mother was a Mc Fee from Aberdeen St., Mother was a Jewett from Aberdeen St., which is how they knew each other. Helen was a lovely lady, always so friendly.

I am saddened to read Mrs. Balls obituary. I remember her as Mrs. Bronum, as she was my grade 3 teacher in Sussex NB. AND I might add my favorite teacher....she was creative, fair, kind, gentle speaking and described me in my report card as enthusiastic. She certainly left her imprint on my heart and life.

My deepest condolences to the family. Helen meant so much to my wife and I. I was her pastor for many years and she was a dear friend more like a mom in some ways. I cherish my memories of her. So much enjoyed taking her out for a meal at Swiss Chalet about a year ago or so. I remember the night in the Junction when her power pole was struck by lightning which resulted in a fire. We bundled her up and brought her to the parsonage for the night with Snowball in tow. So many memories and laughs!! I will miss her but know she is with the Lord and organizing things in heaven as only Helen could do.

Dearest Debbie:
Your sweet mother was my very first teacher at the old Morrison Mills School. At that time she was Miss McFee and I know very well that she was the reason that I enjoyed school so much and I looked forward to going to school because of her direction . I know you will miss her very much Debbie and trust your wonderful memories will help you at this difficult time.

Mrs. Ball was my grade 5 teacher. She was wonderful. I can still picture our spelling charts on the wall, and remember wanting to spell every word right. The best part of every day was when she read to us after lunch...Charlottes Web, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and many others. She was a teacher who made a difference.

We got to know Helen when we joined Celestial Chapter no. 3. The Order of The Eastern Star. She was a kind and wonderful person. We remember when some of our members went to her apartment in 2016 to give Helen her 50 year pin That was very special day for all of us. We will miss her. Gone, but not forgotten forever in our hearts. RIP Helen
