Obituary of Helen Reilly

The passing of Helen Lila (Hood) Reilly, of Limekiln Road, NB, wife of the late John Reilly, occurred on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at her home. Born on October 1, 1939 in Stanley, NB, she was a daughter of the late Mowatt and Mary (Bradshaw) Hood. Helen and her husband previously owned and operated Reilly’s Shell and Reilly’s Home Bakery. She was a member of the ACW and enjoyed gardening. Helen is survived by her daughter, Patty Reilly of Stanley, NB; her sons, Brad (Linda) of Stanley, NB, Barry (Marilyn) and Randy (Dori) both of Fredericton, NB; foster-children, Jason McCarthy (Pat), Rita, Allen, and Deanna Graves; grandchildren, Trudy Ward (Jody), Rodney Reilly (Marsha), Jessica Rogers (Brad), Amanda VanHorne (Matt), Patrick Reilly and Allyson Reilly; great grandchildren, Ashley Reilly-Ward, Haley Ward, Tommy Rogers, Jenna Rogers, Gavin Wedge, Carliegh VanHorne, Kypton VanHorne, Tristan Reilly-Humble; step-grandchildren, Keeley Norrad, Aryn White and Stephen Rose (Ashley); step-great grandchildren, Alya Rose and Elliot Rose; sisters, Bella Boone (Ebby Wilkins) of Fredericton, NB, Sherry Maxwell (Arthur) of Canaan, NB and Shirley McKinley (Danny) of Hinton, AB; brothers, Leonard Hood (Diane) of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Claria Robertson and Charlene Hamly and her loyal companions, Sparky and Kissy Cat. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Harry, Fred and Neil Hood. A Memorial Service will be held from St. Thomas Anglican Church, Stanley, NB on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. Canon Bonita LeBlanc officiating. Interment will take place in St. Paul’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Cross Creek, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Upper Nashwaak Community Outreach program. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Upper Nashwaak Community Outreach and Extra Mural Nursing Programs for the superior care they provided to Helen, which enabled her to remain at home until the end, special thanks to Susan, Trevor, C.J., Janet and Extra Mural nurse Sherry Bauer, your kind help will always be remembered.
