Obituary of Jean Crawford
The passing of Jean White Crawford of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Douglas Crawford occurred on Monday, December 11, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 15, 1921 in Scotland, she was the daughter of the late James and Rachel (White) Young. Jean worked at the Marysville Cotton Mill and then at UNB in housekeeping. She was a member of the Cross Point Wesleyan Church.
Jean is survived by her daughters, Lorraine Tripp (Wayne) of Fredericton, NB, Heather Wilson (Carl) of Stanley, NB and Bonnie Brewer (Dale) of Keswick Ridge, NB; son, Douglas Crawford (Linda) of Fredericton, NB, nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Connelly of Scotland; several nieces, nephews, special mention to, Elsa Lindsay (Alex) of Scotland and long time friend Lorraine Melanson. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by granddaughter, Rebecca Crawford; two sisters and six brothers
Although there will be no visitation or funeral service, a Private Family Graveside Service will take place at the Olivet Wesleyan Cemetery, Fredericton NB, at a later date.
