Obituary of Lawrence William Waugh
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Lawrence William “Bill” Waugh of Douglas, NB on Monday, December 4th, 2017 at York Care Center. Born on August 13, 1943, he was the son of the late Howard and Jean (Currie) Waugh.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Linda (Curtis); his daughters, Sherry Waugh, Kim Beers (Mark) and Barbie Whittaker (Troy); his very special and only granddaughter Maddie Beers and his step-grandson, Tanner Waugh. Bill is also survived by his siblings, Melvin (Jenny), Mavis Kendrick (Billy) and Ann Miles; sister-in-law, Evelyn; brother-in-law, Ray Townsend and many nieces and nephews. Bill is predeceased by his siblings, Lloyd, Leone, Darrell and his wife Zada, Allison and his wife, Mary, Douglas, Carol and Gweneth; brother-in-law, Edwin Miles; nephews, Murray Waugh and Gordon Fraser.
In his younger years Bill helped out on the family farm. He became a small engine mechanic, which he worked at for many years. He was always willing to give a helping hand and was always there for his family. One of his great joys was his granddaughter, Maddie. They shared such love for one another from her birth until his passing. Bill loved his sports; from watching his Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays to playing soft ball and hockey. He loved it all and especially loved the outdoors. We cannot say how much this man was loved and will be greatly missed. There are no words to describe our sorrow.
Bill also had a very special relationship with sons-in-law, Troy and Mark; two special nieces, Debbie and Lynnie; brother-in-law, Billy and his wife, Susan were always there to lend a helping hand.
We would like to thank the staff at York Care Centre who gave our dad special care on Tower 3.
