Obituary of Paul Calhoun

Life Legacy The passing of Paul Leslie Calhoun, of Fredericton, NB, husband of Mary (Pike) Calhoun, occurred on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on October 10, 1953 in Sarnia, ON, he was a son of the late David Calhoun and Winnifred (Lay) Morrison. Paul worked as an Electrician out west for 20 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 15, Marysville, Barkers Point Half-Century Club, enjoyed painting and fishing. He was a life long Montreal Canadiens Fan and a National Cribbage Champion. Besides his wife, Paul is survived by his son, Rhys Calhoun of Fredericton, NB; his daughter, Sandra LeBlanc (Dan) of Fredericton, NB; granddaughter, Ariel Rickard and brother, Thomas Calhoun (Leona) of Camrose, AB; sister in law, Shirley Calhoun of Timmons, ON; step sister, Mavis Jones (Lance) of Burtts Corner, NB; step brothers, David Morrison (Sharon) of Edmonton, AB and Murray Morrison (Valerie) of Grimsby, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Sandra Patricia “Patsy” Calhoun and his brother, Robert Calhoun. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 2:30 pm with The Venerable John T. Sharpe officiating. Interment will take place in Bear Island Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
