Obituary of John Fielding

The passing of John Howard Fielding, husband of Marie “Julia” (Boudreau) Fielding, occurred on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Hospice House Fredericton. Born on November 25, 1939 in Charlottetown, PEI, he was the son of the late Philip and Elinor (Sterns) Fielding. John was a radio announcer and producer with CBC Radio for 18 years and a transit operator with Fredericton Transit for 16 years. In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children, Robert (Bobby) Fielding and his wife Désirée Maltais, Nancy Doggett and her husband Hugh, and Mark Fielding and his partner Drake Ferguson; his grandchildren, Alexis Doggett and Scott Doggett; his sister, Mary Williams; his niece, Kimberly Thibeault; and his great nephew, Alexander Thibeault. Visitation will take place on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB. A Memorial Service will be held in the T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel at York Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 10:00 am with Father John Jennings officiating.
