Obituary of Stacy Coles

It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stacy Shirley Lynn (Monteith) Coles, on Nov 17, 2017 at the General Hospital in Ottawa, ON. Born on May 4, 1971, Stacy grew up and lived in Fredericton, but relocated to St Albert, AB in 2013 to be with her husband. Stacy attended St. Thomas University in Fredericton and in 2012 received her Bachelor of Arts Degree with distinction. Stacy is survived by her loving husband, Billy Coles of Sandy Cove, Newfoundland; devoted parents Rita and Jim Monteith of Fredericton; sisters Candace Merson (Steve) and Carrie Monteith-Levesque (Pierre); adoring nephews Alexander, Gage, Brandon and Richard, and precious niece Liliana Barbara; parents-in-law Roland and Ivy Coles of Sandy Cove, Newfoundland; brother-in-law Bobby Coles (Amy) of Pittsburgh, Annette and Collette (so called sisters), several aunts, uncles and cousins. Her final days were spent surrounded by the love of her life, family and friends. Stacy’s life may have seemed short to some, but those who were touched by her knew that the quality of existence far exceeded the quantity of time in which one lived. Her generous spirit, her graciousness, her ability to love fiercely and with all of her heart brought joy to all that knew her. At the request of the family there will be a private visitation at York Funeral Home in Fredericton, NB for immediate family and close friends only. A celebration of her life will take place at Grace Memorial Baptist Church, corner of Connaught and Northumberland Streets, on Thursday, November 23 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Peter Lohnes officiating. At Stacy’s request, please wear bright colours. Stacy had a great love for animals. If you would like to make a donation please do so at an animal shelter of your choice.
