Obituary of Annie Bubar

The passing of Annie “Pauline” (Gorman) Bubar, of Burtts Corner, NB, wife of the late Norris Bubar, occurred on Monday, November 13, 2017 at York Care Centre, Fredericton, NB. Born on April 21, 1917 in Burtts Corner, NB, she was a daughter of the late Horace and Letitia (Brewer) Gorman. Pauline was a member of Keswick Ridge United Church, life member of United Church Women, enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, knitting and doing puzzles. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Pauline is survived by her daughter, Joan Horsman (Howard) of Riverview, NB; her son, James Bubar (Marilyn) of Burtts Corner, NB; her grandchildren, Gregory Horsman (Sharman) of Toronto, ON, David Horsman (Robin) of Moncton, NB, Chris Bubar (Donna) of Burtts Corner, NB, Andrew Bubar (Wendy) of Burtts Corner, NB, Deborah Hawkins (Mac) of Kelly Creek, NB and Angela Horsman (Nicole) of Moncton, NB; her great grandchildren, Alex and Jana (Kyle) Bubar, Matthew (Louise), Josh and Tabatha (Allan) Bubar, Ben (Jenna), Nick and Christina (Jacob) Hawkins; great great grandchild, Neil Hawkins; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Ashley Gorman (Neno) and Elwood Gorman (Mavis); brothers in law, Edward (Fannie) Bubar and Charles (Verda) MacDonald; special step-mother, Ellen (Bird) Gorman. Visitation will take place at Keswick Ridge United Church, Keswick, NB, on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 11-1 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 1 pm with Rev. A. David Luker officiating. Interment will take place in Burtts Corner Community Cemetery. Pallbearers are Christopher Bubar, Andrew Bubar, Greg Horsman, Dave Horsman, Matthew Bubar and Malcolm Hawkins. Honourary Pallbearers are Dave McAleenan, Mike Allen, Carl Sheppard and Dow Price. The family wish to extend a special thanks to the staff of York Care Centre Tower 3 for their attention and care of Pauline for the last four and half years. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Keswick Ridge United Church, Burtts Corner Community Cemetery or York Care Foundation and would be appreciated by the family.
