Obituary of Arthur Porter

The family of Arthur Ross Porter, sadly announce his sudden passing on Monday, November 6, 2017 at his home on Douglas Avenue in Fredericton, NB. Born in Springfield, NB on November 20, 1956, he was the son of Elizabeth (Brewer) Porter and the late Harold Porter. In addition to his mother, Art is survived by his brother, Bill Porter and his sister, Wanda Porter (Tim); six daughters, Christina Hanson (Stephen), Nadja, Kayla, Alyssa, Jenna and Maya; grandchildren, Megan, Kristi, Stevie, Felecia, Aiden, Ava and Fiona; he will be greatly missed by his niece, Cheri (Tony) and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Art was a dedicated worker at whatever he did; his recent employment was with King Construction. He enjoyed the outdoors, where he loved to fish and hunt. Most of all he loved his family. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 4-8 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2 pm with Rev. George Clark and Rev. Hollis Clark officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Troy McCutcheon, Stephen Hanson, Tim Finnie, Greg Morgan, Kevin Yerxa and Derrick Estey.
