We had the privilege of meeting Laurie on multiple occasions over the past few years at birthday parties for Alice (he even brought Alice to my son's party at our house 3 years ago). He was an incredibly nice man and very interesting to speak with. No doubt he will be deeply missed by many. Our thoughts are with Eric, Michelle, and Alice (our close friends) and with Laurie's family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.

Laurie is an amazing uncle... and I'm looking forward to spending time with him in Heaven :). He taught me how to juggle... although I never could take a bite out of the apple while juggling like he could!
Love,
Patrick

So sad for the loss of a great person who loved life and and his family. I was lucky enough to sit near Laurie for many years while working at Aliant and can honestly say I never saw him have a bad day; he was always smiling no matter what! Sincere condolences to his family.

When I went to see Laurie at the hospital, even as sick as he was he still had a smile on his face, and had the energy to sign a copy of his book (Lauries Stories) for me. Impossible not to smile when you think of who Laurie was.
He always wanted everyone to be as happy, whether it was bringing his unicycle to work, sharing a mind bending puzzle, (stick and string is still my favorite) dropping off the latest Dilbert, or making sure everyone knew it was talk like a pirate day.
Truly an honor to have known Laurie.
The sorrow will fade, but our memories of Laurie will live on forever.

I will miss Laurie a lot. We just started to get together now that we were both retired and after Laurie encouraged me to get on Facebook. I always included him in my email jokes and must sadly pass over his name now. I regret not being in the country for the celebration of his wonderful life and will miss seeing all his friends and family. Take care of yourself, Doris, and please stay in touch. Love and hugs...
