Obituary of William Stewart

Life Legacy It is with sadness that the family of William (Bill) Stewart announce his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Friday, October 27, 2017. Born on August 20, 1948, he was the son of Robina Stewart and the late Cyril (Sid) Stewart. He is survived by his loving wife, Roxanne; his mother; his children Blake Stewart (Lori Mofford), Kyle Stewart (Kymber Allison); his step-children, Julie McKay (Robin), Aaron Pond (Tammy), Abby Pond (Brian Owens), Emily Munn (Duke); his brother Ralph Stewart (Shellie); his step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Wilma Stewart (Anderson). Bill lived most of his life in the Maugerville and Fredericton area. He worked in the Department of Public Safety in Commercial Vehicle Enforcement and the Office of the Coroner. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 78, Boiestown. His love of good, old country music provided him with many hours of enjoyment. He was a member of the band Classic Country and loved to perform. Bill could be heard entertaining monthly at the Marysville Heritage Centre. Honorary Pallbearers will be Royden McCoy, Preston Dutcher, Shawn Rice, Ralph Anderson, Dale Crawford, Debbie Dunphy, Dale Dunphy, Dean Moore and Bliss Spencer. Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. A Celebration of life will be held at York Funeral Home' T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, October 31st at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Maugerville Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Parkinson’s Society or the Maugerville Baptist Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
