Obituary of Brian Billings
Life Legacy
Brian David Billings passed away peacefully on October 8, 2017 among family knowing of his latest grandson's birth on October 6. Born on December 18, 1950 in Woodstock, N.B. to his parents, Elmer and Evelyn. He was married to the love of his life and soulmate Dorothy (Brannen) in 1973.
Brian's hard work ethic was evident with starting in the grocery business at a young age and continued until his retirement as a regional supervisor with Sobey's. While he was not afraid to work, he truly enjoyed his retirement. He loved his camp and hosting people at the family's long time homestead. He loved the outdoors and his time with friends, hunting, fishing, playing golf and cards. He had many hobbies in his retirement but he truly enjoyed trying to emulate his father with his woodworking. He looked forward to his winters in Florida with Dorothy and all of his great friends.
Brian is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dorothy; sons, Chris (Angela) and Scott (Sarah); sisters, Barbara, Sandra Smith (David); two grandchildren, Kali and Beau; sister-in-law, Mary Billings; brothers-in-law, Michael Brannen (Catherine) and Robert Brannen (Nancy); numerous nieces, nephews and family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Evelyn; his brother, Sherwood and granddaughter, Kaitlynn.
